Government

Overall responsibility for the operations of the municpality rests with the councillors who are elected in general elections held every four years. There are 91 positions in the council, however the number of councillors is fewer than the number of positions since some councillors represent several committees.  
 
Freedom of information
The principle of "freedom of information" applies to all municipal activities. This means that everyone - even someone wishing to remain anonymous - has a right in principle to view all municipal documents.
